Advanced Trips Endowment: Path For Our Camp Leaders
by grace gardner
A trip to the Arctic is the ultimate Ogichi Daa Kwe adventure: a fully funded canoe expedition for our most experienced and committed strong-spirited women who’ve grown through every stage of Ogichi life and are ready for an expedition into one of the most remote and beautiful wilderness areas on earth.
Starting in the summer of 2027, to participate in an Arctic trip led by a seasoned trip guide and sponsored by the Dexter Davison Advanced Wilderness Trips Endowment, participants must have completed the criteria to the right. The endowment is named after Dexter Davison, a Kooch-i-ching legend known for leading more trips to Hudson Bay than any other tripper in our organization’s history. Dexter’s loyalty returning to camp for many summers ensured his campers always had a transformative advanced wilderness trip experience.
The Arctic Trip is about growth, grit and giving back. All trip participants will return to camp as trip heads the following summer to share their trip expertise with the next generation of Ogichi explorers. If the Arctic is your goal, start preparing now!
